Chase unfortunately is our mortgage co. I have never had a problem until dealing with them. I am never late w/ my payment but you would think I am. They bug you even when you are not late and when I had a car loan and traded the vehicle I kept getting bills for a car I didn't even own. Bad company to deal with. I say stay away if you can.

I am existing Chase mortgage over 6 years, paid on time never late. Excellent credit. They said refinance with them will be simple process, less papers, quick closing. So, I take a try. However, everything is BIG DIFFERENT. Stupid documents never stop asked. process take 6 weeks still waiting.

My loan officer advised me that appraisal was ordered and that they called my agent's office which he claims appraisal left a message. Guess what never did, 5 days later I received an email indicating that appraisal was ordered today...Wait a minute I thought it was ordered 5 DAYS ago!!! Thats when I backed out and guess what three days later I saw a 395 charge in my account! Since Nov second he jeeps saying that I will be refunded until today he claims the upper managment doesn't think that my reason for backing out was reasonable . Left two messages for my loan officer and didnt hear anything back...will follow up tomorrow but one advice don't use them!! I m using Bond Street Mortgage best company ever!

I am trying to refinance with Chase. I started the process in June and it is November and we still have not closed. No one at Chase will take responsibility for the delay. Every time I try to talk to someone, it is a different person who is in charge of my case. They are by far the worst company I have ever worked with. Buyer beware! Don' t even consider using Chase!!!!

I have tried to refinance over the last 4 years twice with Chase because they purchased my mortgage from EMC. The second time they even preapproved me on the online pre-application. The first time, they audited my appraisal and the second time the actual appraisal was lower than the pre-application's appraisal. Both times I lost the $300 plus appraisal fee. Chase seems to sabatoge the appraisal so they don't have to refinance a home that's loaded with equity! They are greedy thieves. The people servicing me didn't seem too knowledge able either. The second time I tried to refinance, the representative was unable to clearly explain if paying down debt would help make my application approveable. Stay away from Chase. I learned the hard way so I'm seeking out a new lender. Good luck to you.

I have paid every payment on time for over six years on my mortgage. Chase keeps screwing with me. They have sent me a list of requirements or asked for documents and I have met every one, and sent them every document requested. They keep asking for more documents and more conditions after they state each time that the loan will be approved. They are the single worst company that I have ever done business with. Lest you wonder about my credit, it is excellent.

Chase has given me the worst customer service. Even though I have sent them my bank statements etc; they still haven't straightened out my account. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

These people are crooks. They are holding the remodification incentives issued by HUD that they are suppose to issue annually to on-time payors, collecting the interest on both the money and the higher interest on the loans. And even the government agrees, the Making Homes Affordable division of HUD, that there is nothing to stop them.

As others have indicated, my loan has been in underwriting for 25 days. I have missed my closing date and am losing money every day on storage costs and various "penalties" from the seller. At this point, the seller is trying to walk away from the deal.

Chase's underwriting gave my loan conditional approval 20 days ago. They requested 4 very simple items before closing the loan. The information was provided within 1 day. Chase waited 1 week to take action on the information provided and resurfaced to inform us that the information had been lost.

When we questioned the Processor on the slow progress, she threatened us with retribution and told us not to ask for additional status information. Since that threat our loan has not moved forward and we have received no responses to status inquiries.

The bottom line is that no one should use Chase for Mortgage services. They have little process control and feel empowered to mess with customers.

I have been in underwriting with Chase for well over 5 weeks on a loan that was supposed to close 5 days ago. It is obvious that Chase's underwriting have no idea when the closing date is, they just proceed at their own pace and don't worry about the borrower's contractual obligations.

Their Good Faith Estimates are all over the place. I have received 3, none of which make sense. I don't think they are trying to cheat me, I think they are clueless.

I finally got to a Sr. Vice President who got things moving. However, since I still have not seen a HUD-1, who knows if I will actually close on this house. I have zero confidence they will be able to get the numbers right.

I am an attorney and have bought and sold several homes. I am very familiar with the underwriting and loan process. I would recommend staying away from Chase. You simply cannot rely on their representations about when you will be able to close. I guess thorough underwriting is a good thing, but it should take 6 weeks to complete.
