I pro-actively called in 2 weeks prior to my reoccurring mortgage payment and setup reoccuring payments with my new bank. That was setup just fine, but they initiated a one time payment on top of my auto-withdrawl so I was charged twice in the same month for my mortgage. The kicker is when I called Wells Fargo mortgage, they told me I had to call my bank who was at the time Wells Fargo. They provided zero solutions to mitigate or stop the double bill. Terrible system that won't have my money since I've closed the checking and starting my refinancing process!

While under bankruptcy I paid through the courts for 5 years and then after bankruptcy paid for 3 more years. They still show me in banruptcy. Have put my home in foreclosure for 5 straight years. I have documentation showing they misapplied money sent by the court or my home for 5 years. I still don't know where the other $14K is I have given them and they won't get another dime of my money.
RUN LIKE CRAZY TO ANOTHER BANK!

Horrible!!! That's the best way to describe it. You will call and email for days before getting an email back. After we had an appraisal done at the tune of $530, it took over 10 days for them to send us a letter in regards to the appraisal. They caused us to miss our first closing date and we now have to renegotiate the contract with the seller who isn't very happy that we have to get an extension and start over. This is costing us an addt'l $2K to the seller for earnest deposit money. THEN, Wells Fargo tells us the loan has to go to a completely different underwriting department and we have to pay another $530 to have a new appraisal done. I don't think so!! We have switched banks and I am confident with this new (small town) bank that we will meet our closing date. We have not been jerked around at all from the new bank. So, run like crazy to a smaller local bank. They are more willing to jump through hoops for you instead of vice versa!
Wells Fargo Mortgage - SCUM- HARASSMENT!

I missed one lousy payment by clicking on the wrong mortgage account (my rental house). It was placed on the principal and I could not get it back. While trying to make up the missed payment thru bi-weekly money transfers (we are on a tight budget), they harassed me on my work phone, on my home phone and cell phone countless times in 6 weeks. Also, I am getting a certified letter from them and I will not sign and take delivery. Don't use this company for anything! If I did not have a family in this house, I would not pay them a dime and let it go into foreclosure. I may just do that anyway, since we can move into my rental house. Scum Bags.

Ugh! The process of buying (and selling) real estate is so annoying! The underwriter for my loan wanted me to provide a letter explaining where the money deposited into my (Wells Fargo) checking account (for a down payment for a house) came from, so I had to hunt up documentation from a few months ago showing that the money had come from me liquidating my Wells Fargo managed mutual fund, since my Wells Fargo mortgage loan officer could not figure that out for themselves without me taking half a day off from work to hunt up a Wells Fargo bank statement and fax it back to my Wells Fargo mortgage loan officer about where the extra money in my Wells Fargo checking account came from. Do you understand why I am a bit frustrated at Wells Fargo right now? I am a ?customer?, not a criminal, so shouldn?t they be kissing my shoes, trying to get me to take a loan, instead of going out of their way to try to annoy me? Every time that I turn around, someone else wants just another letter of explanation, another letter of reassurance, another document, another bank statement ? enough already! Just because I am helping the economy by buying a house doesn?t automatically mean that I am some shady character simply because I actually have some ?savings? even in the middle of a recession, on a government salary, and can afford to buy something.

I realize that the mortgage bankers are skittish after the real estate bust in 2008 (which every decent economist predicted years ago), but this is ridiculous! And this is typical of how they treat former customers of Wachovia Bank (whom they acquired) and whom that I have had accounts for several years. Wells Fargo has a worse website (counter initiative and hard to read), more paperwork requirements, and tends to be less helpful and less responsive to customer requests than Wachovia ever was.

Worst experience ever! Stay away from Wellsfargo, there are lots of false promises upfront. Once they get you locked into their application process, they are not responsive at all. It's been 1.5 month since my application, I provided all documentations within 24hrs upon request. They never give me status update, if I call/email them for status, the will ask for more document/information ( some of are very unreasonable)...I would stay away from Well fargo at all cost, advice you do the same.

My father held his finances with Wachovia. He was 82 and his mind was going. My mother passed away and the same week his best friend dog died,,, He was devasted to say the least. He met a waitress that was all ready to get into his AMPLE supply of money. The Hamilton st branch in Allentown Pa knew him well as he would frequently need help keeping track of his things. This waitress/gold digger had a check written to her for $100,000!! Wachovia called him to ok it knowing his mind was getting bad,he okayed it and without question, they cashed it!!!! My father passed away in April of this year and even the lawyer who is handling his trust fund said he is not accepting any from Wells fargo anymore,,,they are pathetic,,
