I had a cash offer on my house which is underwater by over a 100,000. The offer was accepted and I agreed to a $10,000.00 promissary note. Next thing I know is that they denied the sale because they had some sort of disagreement with the listing agent. It is my opinion that they don't like her because she is hispanic. I have been fighting with them for 2 years to short sale my house. I had orginally had an offer on the house for 180,000. They denied it because I wouldn't sign the promissary note because I couldn't afford the payment. Then they had an offer for 150,000 and now the offer is 140,000. So they are deliberately trying to foreclose and sell it at auction for what? Maybe $100,000 and then sue me for the deficiency. Why is this legal? So I end up filing for bankruptcy and they get nothing. Why doesn't someone put a stop to this madness?
