Taylor Bean & Whitaker

I had a similar experience as the last commenter.
I refi'd with Taylor Bean to get a lower rate.
It was all set for closing on 5/27. However they somehow managed to delay payment to themselves until 6/2. Thus they took the June payment on the old loan from my checking account and stuck it into my escrow account even though the loan was closed.
Then they refuse to put it back into checking.
They insist that they have 15 business days to hold onto my money before rolling it into my new loan which at that point I can request an escrow review.
They are holding my money hostage without any repercussions to them.

I had a new home loan with this company in 2007. I have paid all of my payments on time including taxes and insurance. However, because of their high interest rates, I refinanced in May 2008 with another company. The title company closed escrow on 5/30/08 and funded on 5/31/08. Taylor Bean would not accept an electronic payment and so the title company had to mail them a check. Taylor Bean charged me interest from 5/30/08 until 6/03/08 when they posted the payoff balance in full. They had also charged me mortgage insurance for June 2008 in the amount of $221.42 on 5/27/08 and then charged me again $221.42 for June 2008 on 6/04/08 after the loan was paid off!! We are seniors and in this economy need every dollar. They do not care about their customers, but try to rip off every dollar they can from them, even seniors! I have filed a claim with the State of Arizona Attorney General's Office because of this. I advise anyone who is even thinking about doing business with Taylor, Bean and Whitaker to think again. Just go to the Review Site of Taylor Bean and Whitaker and see that their rating is "1" out of "5". That is the poorest rating. Read the reviews!
