As a first time buyer, Weichert did not prepare me or suggest the best route for me. Once they had my application fee they became less and less helpfull. After 2 months of daily calls, frustrating emails, and money spent on services like a survey that I didn't need, they were unable to secure an FHA loan. When we tried to change over to a conventional, they tried to make me start the whole process from square one. Thats when I decided to walk away. The sellers served me with a time is of the essence order and I believe if I would've stayed with Weichert, I would've lost the house. Stay away! Especially from John B. He would not call me and never answered his phone even when I'd call every day for months! Who are these people? Felt like a scam!

Would never work with them again. Started the refinance process and after weeks I had to put a stop to it. Names were spelled wrong on paperwork, they made alot of phone calls but never seemed to get anything done. Weeks after locking in my interest rate they tried to change it on me. Went to Ocean First Bank and after 7 days was approved, appraisal done and have a closing date first week of June and with a better rate. I lost 800 dollars just starting with them.....

I have a mortgage with Weichert financial services. I too could not liquidate my escrow and many times over became frustrated with their customer service department. However, they approached me 3 months ago about a refinance. My existing mtg was 3 years old and i was able to lower my interest rate by 2 points to 4.5% and shave 10 years off my existing loan with my payment being close to the same prior to the refinance. My mortgage representative was fabulous and she was always there, picked up her phone and helped us over the bumps. We closed our refinance in less than 60 days which was mainly due to me dragging my feet with the paperwork they needed. Not everyone i came in contact with over there was educated but my mortgage representative more than made up for their inadequacy. I feel Weichert Financial has finally done the right thing. They also offered some unique programs designed for different situations. I am very pleased.

Stay away from Weichert Financial Services! They are very difficult to work with, it has taken 3 months to close a mortgage with them. Our experience has been horrible and we are in danger a home we've waited 3 months for. The short sale closed faster on the sellers side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was very happy when got news from my agent about approval of my application back in 2006, but few months later(once I was commited to them) signs started to worry me.When I started to pay a little extra principal, statements did not came on time, customer service center was busy and I got different answers for the same questions. Mostly I called to verify if they mailed the statement.
I requested to liquidate my escrow, since the city would give huge discount if I would pay in once per year - Weichert apologized back and forth, but they did not allowed this, they said this term changed.
The real deal started to happen, when I wanted to reamortize my loan. My Gold Service Mgr promised everything when he sold the loan, but seems this part was complete lie too - they did not allowed me to reamortize, thay said these terms changed as well!!!
No wonder I got upset so pulled in my savings and started to pay off the loan agressively. Than the statements of course started to come late, but whenever they sent a statement I paid right away along with a big chunk of principal.
I went two weeks of vacation, when I got back on a Thursday a notice was waiting for me in the mail from them stating I'm behind with payments and this is the final notice??? I tried to call the specified number next day(Friday) it was keep telling at 4PM that the customer service hours are 9-6PM and they are closed.
On Monday I saw a non-payment on my credit history!!!
Don't recommend doing business with them at all.
